The Lancaster City Bureau of Police currently employs 48 full-time and 28 part-time civilian employees. These positions include:
- Community Service Aids (CSA's): Responsible for processing and security of prisoners in jail section, radio communications, computer data entry into National Crime Information Center, and handling minor service calls.
- Records Clerks: Responsible for administrative tasks that include archiving reports, gathering files for court cases, providing incident information to insurance companies, data entry and filing.
- Patrol Services: Includes Parking Enforcement Aids, Sweeper Escorts, Dog Law Officer, Abandoned and Hazardous Vehicle Enforcement Officer, and part-time School Crossing Guards.
