At approximately 2:09 A.M. September 3rd, 2014 Lancaster City Police officers responded to an apartment in the 800 blk. of N. Lime St. for what was initially dispatched as a cardiac arrest. Officers entered the apartment and located a deceased adult male with visible traumatic injuries.

On Sunday, September 7, the Columbia Riding Club will host the 7th annual Benefit Horse Show in support of the Lancaster Mounted Patrol and K9 Unit. Once again, the community will gather to enjoy the horse show and the demonstrations by the Mounted Patrol and K9 Officer Ryan Hockley and his partner Leo.
At 2:48 a.m. August 27, 2014 LCPD officers responded to an apartment building in the 100 blk. of E. Walnut St. for a home invasion robbery that had just occurred. Officers made contact with a 34-year-old male victim.
Captain of Patrol Brian Wiczkowski is retiring from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police. His "retirement" will be brief, as he has been appointed Chief of Police of West Lampeter Township, where he will begin serving on Monday, August 25th.
