8.11.14 Farnum Park Stabbing and arrest
STABBING AT FARNUM PARK AND ARREST OF SUSPECT
On Sunday August 10, 2014 at approximately 2:38 pm Officers from Lancaster City Police, D Platoon, responded to the area of Farnum Park, 200 blk. S. Water St., for a report of a fight that had just occurred. Initial information received listed that a person had been stabbed during the fight.
A 30 year old Lancaster man was found in front of a private residence on the 100 blk. S. Water St. The male had (2) stab wounds to the torso. The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Officers canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses as the investigation progressed.
At approximately 9:31 p.m., Maurice Swann walked into the lobby of the Police Station and spoke with the desk Sergeant. Swann identified himself as the other person involved in the fight/stabbing that had occurred at Farnum Park.
Swann was interviewed by Det. Whiteford and charged with Aggravated Assault and Tampering with Evidence before MDJ Winters. Swann was arraigned and committed to LCP on a Detainer from Adult Probation. Swann’s bail was set at $75,000.
