PRESS RELEASE 

THREATS MADE TO PA ATTORNEY GENERAL, ARREST MADE

On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 5:20pm, an Agent from the PA Attorney General’s Officer contacted Lancaster City Bureau of Police regarding threats made to the Attorney General and another employee of that office. 

An employee of the Attorney General answered a phone call from a male, later identified as Robert Michael Bourne. Bourne made a specific threat over the phone that on August 7, 2014 he intended to travel to Harrisburg in order to kill both the Attorney General and the person that answered the call. 

Through investigation it was found that the call made been made by Bourne from a location on the 600 blk. N. Market St. Lancaster, PA. 

Based upon the information received a Criminal Complaint charging Bourne with Terrroristic Threats was filed before MDJ Roth. A warrant was issued for Bourne’s arrest. On August 7, 2014 Bourne was taken into custody by Officers from C Platoon. He was arraigned by MDJ Roth and committed to LCP in lieu of $250,000 bail.

 

**THE BUREAU OF POLICE IS RESPECTFULLY REQUESTING THAT THE MEDIA LIMIT WHAT IS PUBLISHED TO THAT WHICH IS ON THIS NEWS RELEASE AND SHOULD THE MEDIA BECOME AWARE OF ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, PARTICULARLY THE NAMES OF ANY WITNESSES OR LANCASTER RESIDENTS IN THIS CASE, IT IS REQUESTED THAT THEY REFRAIN FROM PUBLISHING THAT INFORMATION SO AS NOT TO JEOPARDIZE THE SAFETY OF ANYONE NOR THIS ON GOING INVESTIGATION**
