At about 04:01 a.m. July 26, 2013 officers of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to the 600 block of W. Orange St for a reported Person Struck. Upon arrival, they found a pedestrian had been struck while crossing the roadway by a vehicle which had been traveling west bound. Both the pedestrian and the driver were transported to area hospitals to be treated for injuries received in this crash. The driver sustained minor facial injuries. The pedestrian sustained very serious injuries. Officers are still working on verifying the identification of the pedestrian. This crash is under investigation by Officer Ben Bradley, assisted with the City Crash Investigation team.
On May 29th, 2013 Officer Shaffer of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police responded to Park City Mall at the J.C. Penny store for a report that a male subject was video recording a female customer while she was trying on clothing in a fitting room.
On July 10, 2013, at approx. 2:48 am, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and EMS responded to a reported Cardiac Arrest/ Unconscious Person call at 515 East End Ave. The first responding officers arrived at the residence and located an unconscious female, on the second floor. It was apparent that the female was not breathing and EMS confirmed that the female had died.
On July 10, 2013, at approx. 6:43 PM, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police were dispatched the area of Howard Ave and Christian Street for a reported stabbing. The first responding officers were then advised by dispatchers that a stabbing victim had just walked into the emergency room at Lancaster General Hospital. The officers were able to determine that the incident occurred at 529 Howard Ave and that the victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. The victim was identified as a 23 year old Lancaster City female. The victim was taken to surgery and treated for multiple stab wounds to the chest, torso and arm, however her injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
At about 4:15 pm, May 29, 2013 Lancaster City Police were dispatched to JC Penney’s Store, Park City Center, for a report of an invasion of privacy that occurred inside one of the fitting rooms. An officer responded and interviewed the victim, a 32-year-old Lancaster County woman.
