Gun, Drug Arrests - 600 blk. Columbia Ave.
On June 22, 2014 at approximately 7:41 p.m. Officer Ryan Work observed Humberto Colon Jr., 29-year-old male, in front of a residence at 646 Columbia Ave. Off. Work recognized Colon as a person who had an outstanding warrant for Indirect Criminal Contempt (violating a Protection from Abuse Order). Colon entered the residence, which turned out to be his home. Officers entered the residence and took Colon into custody without incident. Officers located a loaded Taurus .22 cal silver revolver tucked into Colon’s waistband and 2 grams of powder cocaine, packaged in six small individual baggies, in Colon’s pants pocket. Colon is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to him being the subject of an active Protection from Abuse Order. While inside the residence, officers observed a 21-year-old female, identified as Ashlee Martinez, resident of 100 blk. S. Queen St. Lancaster, attempt to discard a bag containing 15 grams of cocaine. Martinez also was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A 33-year-old male, identified as Charles Thomas, resident of 200 blk. S. Ann St., Lancaster, was also in the house and found to be in possession of approximately 8 grams of cocaine. Ednid Rivera, 29-year-old male, resident of 500 blk. E. Grant St. Lancaster, and Diana Diaz-Sanchez, 20-year-old female resident of 700 blk. Fifth St. Lancaster, were also in the house. Rivera was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Diaz-Sanchez was in possession of small amounts of cocaine and marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Humberto Colon Jr. was charged with Persons not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Firearms, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Ashlee Martinez was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Charles Thomas was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Diana Diaz-Sanchez was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Ednid Rivera was charged with Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All charges are before MDJ Winters. Colon Jr., Martinez, and Thomas all held for arraignment. Diaz-Sanchez and Rivera will be sent summons. No bail info at this time.
All persons accused of a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
