Shots Fired, Arrest 7/6/14

At 9:32 a.m. July 6, 2014 officers responded to the 800 block of Union St. for a report of shots fired. On arrival, witnessed indicated the suspect fled into a residence in the 300 blk. of Fairview Ave. Officers surrounded the house and ordered all occupants to exit the residence.

On 1 July 2014, at approx. 10:28 AM, officers from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and members of the Lancaster City Fire Department were dispatched to 438 E. King Street for a reported apartment building fire.

Gun Arrest

At 7:35 a.m. June 30, 2014 Lancaster Community Safety Coalition personnel contacted Lancaster County Wide Communications after they observed a male with a handgun in front of 320 S. Queen St. The initial report was that the male was seen carrying the gun and then concealing it in his pants.

At 11:48 p.m. June 28, 2014 and again at about 12:30 a.m. June 29, 2014, LCPD officers responded to the 300 blk. of W. James St. for reported Protection From Abuse violations which had just occurred.

The Lancaster City Bureau of Police welcomes three new officers. Officers Austin Krause, Christopher Kophamel, and Timothy Sinnott were sworn in by Mayor Richard Gray during a ceremony at City Hall earlier today.

JP McCaskey HS Burglary arrests

On June 5, 2014 a burglary was reported at JP McCaskey High School. Employees of the school discovered that sometime overnight, suspects had forced entry into a music lab and stole (23) MacBook laptop computers. Review of video footage from the school showed that (2) unknown males in hooded sweatshirts...

Gun, Drug Arrests - 600 blk. Columbia Ave.

On June 22, 2014 at approximately 7:41 p.m. Officer Ryan Work observed Humberto Colon Jr., 29-year-old male, in front of a residence at 646 Columbia Ave. Off. Work recognized Colon as a person who had an outstanding warrant for Indirect Criminal Contempt (violating a Protection from Abuse Order).
